Hi sirmax! There isn't an option to just disable verification altogether. The latter should work, but has the limitation that you'll need to keep updating the clients each time the self-signed cert expires or otherwise changes; true CA certificates generally have a longer lifetime, reducing this burden.

Turning off certificate verification altogether isn't supported, since it doesn't really provide much advantage over just using cleartext http. I hope this helps! If you have further questions I'd recommend using the community forums since there are many more people monitoring these with broader experience; the issues in this repository are generally only read by the Terraform core maintainers.

First, stop the Terraform Enterprise application from the Replicated console on port or in the command line using the replicatedctl tool:. The output should show the State as stopped. Please note, it may take a few minutes. This process stops and removes the Docker containers running the Terraform Enterprise application. At this point, Terraform Enterprise and the Replicated applications should both be uninstalled. However, there are still Docker resources that need to be cleaned up.

If there were no other Docker resources on the host aside from Terraform Enterprise, the images, networks, and volumes can safely be cleaned up with docker system prune. If there were other resources, please double check all stopped containers and unused images, volumes, build caches, and networks before running the below command:. Alternatively, only the Terraform Enterprise and Replicated resources can be removed with the following commands.

It is still recommended to double check before running these commands. Procedure First, stop the Terraform Enterprise application from the Replicated console on port or in the command line using the replicatedctl tool: replicatedctl app stop Verify that the Terraform Enterprise application is stopped using the following command: replicatedctl app status The output should show the State as stopped.

Podcast Ben answers his first question on Stack Overflow.Terraform is a tool for building, changing, and versioning infrastructure safely and efficiently. It was created by HashiCorp and first released in Terraform can manage existing and popular service providers as well as custom in-house solutions.

It is a popular tool in DevOps. Terraform, however, can automate the provisioning of the infrastructure itself e. One can, of course, do the same with, say, Ansible. However, Terraform really shines in infrastructure management and automation. By using the two separate above commands, Terraform will first show you what changes it will make without doing the actual changes.

The second command will ensure that only the changes you saw on screen are applied. If you would just use terraform applymore changes could have been added, because the remote infrastructure can change or files could have been edited e. The following expounds upon what we did in "Basic example 1", except we are building a more "Best Practices" approach. We will continue to build these examples. This example will create a very simple Terraform file that will pull down an image ghost from Docker Hub.

In this section, we will expand upon what we did above pull down a Docker image by creating a container. Input variables serve as parameters for a Terraform file.

A variable block configures a single input variable for a Terraform module. Each block declares a single variable. In this section, we will create a map to specify different environment variables based on conditions. This will allow us to dynamically deploy infrastructure configurations based on information we pass to the deployment. In this section, we will see how workspaces can help us deploy multiple environments.

By using workspaces, we can deploy multiple environments simultaneously without the state files colliding. In this section, we will utilize a Null Resource in order to perform local commands on our machine without having to deploy extra resources.

In this section, we will continue working with Terraform modules by breaking out the container code into its own module. In this section, we will refactor the root module to use the image and container modules we created in the previous two sections.

We need to make sure the MySQL container starts before the Blog container does, otherwise the Blog container will crash. Swarm services are a more production-ready way of running containers but not as good as using Kubernets.

Downgrading Terraform

In this section, we will explore using Terraform to store sensitive data, by using Docker Secrets. Outputs define values that will be highlighted to the user when Terraform applies, and can be queried easily using the output command. When Terraform runs, it will see that it first need to spin up the database1 instance, then generate the template, and only then spin up the web instance. See also: tfk8s. From Christoph's Personal Wiki.Once an apply is performed, the version of Terraform that performed the apply is saved in the state file.

From that point, the terraform command that performs subsequent operations on the state file must be the same version or a later version.

By default, an earlier version of Terraform will not operate on a state file that was created with a later version, because this is not guaranteed to be safe. There are a few options for performing a downgrade. If an earlier version of the state file used an earlier version of Terraform, downgrade Terraform to the version specified in that state, and rerun any applies needed.

Manual editing can be used even when there is a large number of changes, but there is no guarantee of a successful operation. Typically, a downgrade will not encounter issues as long as it is between minor versions e. Downgrading between major versions is strongly discouraged. Once this operation is complete, downgrade Terraform to the corresponding version 0.

Then run a normal plan operation to ensure that the desired results are produced. If different, unexpected errors are encountered, they may be a result of the downgrade. Roll back to a previous version of the state file If an earlier version of the state file used an earlier version of Terraform, downgrade Terraform to the version specified in that state, and rerun any applies needed.

Manually edit the state file and specify a different Terraform version Manual editing can be used even when there is a large number of changes, but there is no guarantee of a successful operation. For example, to downgrade from 0.
